A brief reflection on Sam’s hammam experience in Chefchaouen, Morocco.

We did not originally plan to visit Morocco but are happy we did. Morocco was a transformative experience for us. The country is beautiful. Its people are wonderful. The culture and history are fascinating. And the dromedaries are wily.
October 30 – November 18, 2024
We loved sharing our Portugal experience with Cammie and Glenn (Glammie). It was a delightful escape from the cooler weather which dominated the first four months of the trip. The highlight for everyone was our time on Madeira.
September 25 – October 30, 2024
We ate (too many crepes), hiked, biked, beached, and swam our way through this fantastic country. We also reached our threshold for museums in Paris, eight in four days. But we learned a lot!

To feed our new addiction to long-distance walking, we took on the Great Glen Way. The route took us 93 miles from Fort William to Inverness, deeper into the Scottish Highlands.
August 24 – 30, 2024
This was one of the most enjoyable, enriching, and challenging experiences of our lives. We walked 102.2 miles from Milngavie to Fort William. We are now addicted to long-distance walking.

These are some of our favorite memories and places from our time in Scotland. We were sufficiently caffeinated, well fed, and in awe most of our time here. Scotland and its people hold a special place in our hearts. We will be back.
